Kappa Kidnap
Our first event of the year, Kappa Kidnap, is a great way to kick-off the fall semester! Not only is this event unique to KKG, but it is often everybody’s favorite and most memorable invite! Kappas and their dates load the buses at 9 in the morning and are “kidnapped” to a secret location like Catalina Island or Warner Springs Ranch, where we spend the whole day laying out in the sun, swimming, and even kayaking with our dates. In the evening we enjoy dinner and a night of dancing, finally loading the buses back to USC at around 9 PM.
Sapphire Ball
Sapphire Ball is our second invite of the fall semester, and gives Kappas a chance to get all dressed up! Sapphire Ball is a great time to celebrate with our friends before leaving for Winter Break. Dressed to impress, we invite our dates to dinner with friends before heading off to a club in Hollywood where we dance the night away.
Kappa Krush
Our Spring semester starts off with Kappa Krush, our exciting mystery date event! Each Kappa gives a list of guys’ names to our Social Chair, who then calls all of the dates herself and invites them to the event. The dates are instructed to leave a costume for their mystery Kappa date at the KKG house. On the night of Kappa Krush, Kappas and their mystery dates find each other by searching for the matching costumes. Even though Krush might be a little more suspenseful than the other invites, many Kappas find this to be their favorite invite!
Senior Sendoff
Celebrating the end of the school year, we have weeklong activities to wish our senior Kappas good-bye, ending the week with our Senior Sendoff invite. The Seniors have the privilege of choosing the theme for Senior Sendoff, and have picked fun themes like “Rumble in the Jungle”, and most recently “Kappa Karnival”. Kappas and their dates come dressed in theme and ready to have a great time!
