| Kappa Kappa Gamma, KKG... you're the only one for me |
Welcome to Kappa Recruitment! I am a rising Junior and thrilled to be the Kappa Kappa Gamma Membership Chair of 2010.
I not only speak for myself but also the entire Delta Tau chapter when I say we cannot wait to meet you this coming September during formal Recruitment. We look forward to sharing many of the amazing aspects of our wonderful sisterhood with each and every one of you. Fall Recruitment is the most anticipated event of the year for Kappa Kappa Gamma and we work hard all year planning and preparing for your arrival. As spokesperson for Kappa Recruitment, I truly encourage all of you to go through rush even if you are hesitant as to whether or not sorority life is for you. The Recruitment process is an incredible experience where you have the opportunity to meet hundreds of amazing girls, many you will never forget, others friends for a lifetime.
Words cannot express the fulfillment I have gained from being a part of sorority life and how honored and proud I am to say, “I'm a Kappa!” I vividly remember my intension as a Freshman, to experience recruitment in order to become involved at USC. Through the process as well as through Kappa, I have not only met many wonderful people and acquired lifelong friends, but I have also been given the opportunity to make a personal contribution to both Kappa and the university. I sincerely welcome you to join in the journey, and I am so excited to see you all during formal Recruitment! I also welcome alumnae, family, and friends to explore our Kappa website, become familiar with our Recruitment process, and see what we have accomplished here at USC. On behalf our chapter, we greatly appreciate the help and support we receive from our Parent Club and alumnae. Kappa Recruitment would not be possible without your efforts. Your interest in the Delta Tau Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma keeps our house beautiful, our days exciting, and our lives meaningful! It is going to be another great year for the Delta Tau chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma! We cannot wait to see you in the Fall!

Recruitment Days

Day 1: Unity Day 1- Conversation Day 1 To start off formal recruitment rushees will visit half of the sorority houses where they are eagerly awaited by each sorority. They will have the chance to get to know each individual sorority by talking to active members of the sorority. Day 2: Unity Day 2- Conversation Day 2 Rushees will visit the other half of the sorority houses, which are equally excited to meet new rushees. They will have the chance to get to know each individual sorority by talking to active members of the sorority.
Day 3: Spirit Day- House Tours Rushees will narrow down their selection from 10 houses to 7 houses. They will visit and take tours of their remaining 7 houses. They will have the chance to look at the different rooms of the sorority houses as well as get to know more about the sorority. Day 4: Pride Day- Slideshow Rushees narrow down their selection from 7 houses to 5 houses. They visit each house where the memebers of the house put on a slideshow day full of singing, dancing, and yummy treats. Day 5: Preference Ceremonies, Bid Card Signing, BID NIGHT!
Rushees select 2 houses they wish to return to for Preference Ceremonies. Each sorority has their own unique ceremony that rushees will particpate in. After ceremonies, rushees must go sign their bid cards where they will rank their last 2 houses. At 8pm that same day rushees return to find out which house they have received a bid from. From there the hundreds of girls that go through recruitment run from the USC campus to the Row where they join their house to celebrate BID NIGHT!

Tips for Recruitment
- Be yourself- the girls are looking forward to getting to know YOU, pick the chapter that best matches your personality, don't try to match theirs
- Keep an open mind- dismiss the stereotypes and form your own opinions about chapters and greek life in general
- Get to know the chapters- don't be afraid to ask questions, girls will be more than willing to answer any questions you have
- Try it out- even if you're unsure about going greek, give it a chance, if you decided not to go greek you have at least had the opportunity to meet new friends
- Look for the place you feel most comfortable
- Trust the process- sorority recruiment is well thought out in order to give every girl an equal chance to find their perfect house
- Have fun!
